Argentina’s Ministry of Economy issued Resolution 1577/2026 on September 17, 2026, launching a third anti-dumping (AD) sunset review and a circumstance review concerning carbon steel pipe fittings originating in China.
Petitioners comprising the local industrial association Cámara Fabricantes de Caños y Tubos de Acero and the producer Cintolo Hnos. Metalúrgica SAIC requested the investigation, which covers a dumping period from May 2025 through April 2026 and an injury period spanning January 2023 to April 2026.
The products involved are carbon steel pipe fittings for butt welding, according to ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 or equivalent standards (IRAM 2607, etc.), with external diameters equal to or greater than 60.3 mm and less than or equal to 323.8 mm in standard and extra heavy thicknesses, classified under MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM) 7307.19.20 and 7307.93.00. The subject goods exclude 180° elbows, reducing elbows, and tees.
The regulatory announcement takes effect starting on its publication date.
