Telecom Argentina has formally accepted Metrotel’s offer for the Movistar assets its was required to sell to gain regulatory compliance with its USD 1.25 billion acquisition of Telefonica’s local subsidiary (Movistar Argentina). In a statement to financial markets regulator CNV, Telecom Argentina confirmed that the transaction price will be USD 450 million plus VAT and any other applicable taxes.
