Prestianni praised in Argentina as Benfica work on new contract – OneFootball

Gianluca Prestianni’s rise at Benfica is drawing admiration in Argentina, and the club are working to secure him on a new deal. The winger’s performances have caught the eye of Lionel Scaloni’s staff.

“He has the ability to play one against one and unbalance the opposition defence. He is the kind of player who is always welcome in our team,” said assistant coach Roberto Ayala in an interview with DSports Radio.

Prestianni has now made his senior Argentina debut, marking the occasion with his first goal for the Albiceleste in a 7-0 win over Burkina Faso.

Benfica are seeking to keep the young forward, with talks over a fresh contract understood to have intensified during the recent international break. Completion is expected afterwards.

Despite the growing attention, Prestianni remains focused on Benfica’s project. His club displays, allied to early positive signs with Argentina, suggest continued progression.
