For any Argentinian, the theory of “cabala” is ingrained from an early age. While it may seem fruitless to many, there are millions of Argentinians who watch the Argentina national team win a game and must repeat various aspects during their experience for the next match.
That could be wearing the same shirt, eating or drinking the same product, or watching the game with the same people as the previous win. Many are convinced that if they buck the trend, it all falls apart. With that in mind, it sounds like the national team isn’t taking any chances either, despite having already qualified as the first placed team in Group J.

Argentina to wear alternate kit for Jordan game, just like they did against Poland in 2022
On Wednesday, TyC Sports’ Argentina national team insider Gaston Edul reported that Lionel Messi and co. are set to wear their alternate jersey for the upcoming match against Jordan on Saturday.
Many will remember that Argentina also wore their second jersey at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for their third group stage game, against Poland in a victory that sealed the top spot in the group for La Albiceleste. They wore their main striped jersey for every other game.
Argentina has a negative connotation with their alternate jersey, so fans are hoping this is the only game it’s used for. The national team lost both the 1990 and 2014 World Cup finals while wearing their second jerseys, both times being primarily blue. At least this time around it’s mainly black.
