The Argentine government of Javier Milei sent a military plane to Bolivia, ostensibly for humanitarian aid. However, social organizations and former Bolivian president Evo Morales denounced that the flight was transporting anti-riot material.
This material would be used to repress demonstrators protesting against the neoliberal measures of Bolivian president Rodrigo Paz.
Morales revealed that patriotic Bolivian military personnel reported that the plane was used to transport anti-riot war material. In addition, he noted that there were two Hercules planes, as confirmed by Rodrigo Paz, and not one, as reported by Milei.

Hours earlier, labor organizations, human rights organizations and deputies from Argentina sent a letter to Milei rejecting Buenos Aires’ support for the escalation of violence by the Bolivian government against workers, peasants and indigenous people. The letter points out that there is a discrepancy regarding the number of aircraft and the Casa Rosada has not clarified this issue.
In addition, they demanded that Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno issue a transparent report on the use of the aircraft and allow a human rights commission to monitor what is done with them in Bolivian territory.
Morales gave other references about Milei’s links with the repression in Bolivia, while calling the attempt to quell the protests as Plan Condor 2.0 directed by Donald Trump.
The former Bolivian president detailed that a communication strategy is underway to demonize the mobilizations and this is being executed by Milei’s “digital warriors” and his employees, from sites and platforms based in Argentina.
He added that “on April 30 of this year, Milei sent his Minister of Deregulation and Transformation of the State, Federico Sturzenegger, to the Palacio Quemado in La Paz to destroy the Plurinational State and replace it with a neoliberal and neocolonial State.”
He recalled that the complicity of the Casa Rosada has precedents: in 2019, after the coup d’état in Bolivia organized by the right and the US, and executed in complicity with the Organization of American States (OAS), former Argentine president Mauricio Macri and former Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, sent anti-riot material to repress those who defended democracy and demanded the resignation of the de facto former president Jeanine Áñez.
