Chinese ride-hailing company Didi Global plans to invest more than $200 million in Argentina in 2026 as it expands into smaller cities and develops new safety technology.

The company aims to extend services including its lower-cost Didi Moto motorcycle rides and last-mile transport products. Didi already operates in more than 350 locations across Argentina and expects the number of drivers using its platform to rise by 25% this year to more than 500,000.

The planned spending follows a $160 million investment in Argentina in 2025. Rival Uber has separately announced plans to invest $500 million in the country over three years.
