Argentine law firm Tavarone Rovelli Salim Miani has announced the appointment of María de los Ángeles Olano as a partner.
“This move strengthens our tax law practice with a professional of recognized standing and extensive experience in domestic and international tax advisory services,” the firm said.
Ángeles has over 20 years of experience in tax law, specializing in tax advice for domestic and international companies and the handling of complex tax litigation.
Throughout her career, she has advised clients on highly complex transactions, including share acquisitions and sales, domestic and international tax planning, the digital economy, initial public offerings (IPOs), trusts, tax-free reorganizations, investment structuring, project finance, estate planning, due diligence, and debt restructuring, among other significant matters.
Her professional track record has been consistently recognized since 2018 by leading international legal rankings.
Ángeles holds a law degree with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires’ school of law, where she also completed a postgraduate program in Tax Law.
She is also actively involved in academic and professional organizations. Since 2024, she has served as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies (AAEF) and as Secretary of the Argentine Branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
She has spoken at international conferences organized by associations such as the American Bar Association (ABA), the International Bar Association (IBA), and the International Fiscal Association (IFA), among others. She also served as National Reporter at the 2022 IFA Peru meeting regarding the implementation of BEPS Action 4 in Latin America and has authored specialized publications on tax matters.
