The plane carrying Argentina’s World Cup team will be easy to spot.

Defending champion Argentina will be the first international soccer team to arrive in Kansas City for the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
Argentina is one of four squads that will have a World Cup base camp in the Kansas City area, along with the Netherlands, England and Algeria.

International superstar Lionel Messi and his Argentina teammates will be traveling to Kansas City in a special plane.
Aerolíneas Argentinas on Saturday shared a look at what it was calling “the most Argentinian plane in the world.” In an Instagram post with the airline, Argentinian television host Martin Souto showed off the “beautiful” plane as it was displayed in a video.
It has blue-and-white stripes on the tail with Messi’s No. 10. Both are a nod to the team’s jersey. There is a captain’s band on each engine and three large stars on the belly of the plane. That’s one star for each World Cup championship won by Argentina.
“Tonight #ElAviónMásArgentinoDelMundo takes off to Kansas City with the national team on board,” the airline wrote on Saturday morning.

It’s roughly a 12-hour flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Kansas City, so the team would be able to sleep overnight and arrive Sunday morning feeling refreshed.
