The Plaza “banderazo” will take place the day before the defending champions face off against Algeria on June 16 at 8 p.m.
Fans can take a ConnectKC26 bus to the Fan Fest at Liberty Memorial and ride the KC Streetcar to the Plaza stop. In addition, there is plenty of parking at The Plaza’s parking garages.
An Instagram post from La Banda Argentina says in Spanish that at the rally, fans will “show the world who we are when Argentina plays.”
Before you go, brush up on some of the fans’ songs, called “canciones de cancha,” including “Sabes que yo te quiero” and “Muchachos.”
Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, Nico Paz, and the rest of the team are staying at the Origin Hotel in Kansas City’s Berkley Riverfront Park. The “selección” held their first practice Wednesday at Sporting KC’s training facility near The Legends.
