Argentina has announced relaxed visa rules for Indians holding a valid US visa, making it easier to visit the South American country. With a valid US visa, Indian travellers will not need to apply for a separate Argentine visa, eliminating the lengthy application process and associated fees. The move aims to enhance trade and tourism ties between the two countries, while also reinforcing cultural ties and underscoring the growing bilateral cooperation between India and Argentina. The visa relaxation is also part of Argentina’s broader goal of attracting more international travellers.

The news comes as both countries are engaged in expanding cooperation on multiple fronts, ranging from agriculture to animal husbandry and dairy production. Mariano Caucino, Argentina’s Ambassador to India, confirmed on his X profile, citing a resolution published in Argentina’s Official Gazette.
